When Disaster Strikes
“Maccie ” decided to die on me this week, Maccie is my wonderful mac book pro, and my dearest friend. After being admitted to mac book hospital where he will spend the next 3 to 4 days, I arrived home to find that my gorgeous teenage son had graciously set me up with his laptop so that I could get my newsletter completed and sent out to you, my fabulous readers.
Every thing suddenly felt different and It took me some time to work things out that I normally take for granted on my Mac. At one time during the evening I literally threw my hands in the air and declared publishing this weekly newsletter a lost cause.
I called out for my husband to help me and gently he reminded me that there is no such thing as ” I can’t “ , proceeded to move me over, sat down and worked out some glitches that I was experiencing with Google Chrome. I decided to take this opportunity to finish off some party packs for my youngest daughters birthday. While sitting flat on my bottom on the floor making up party packs I recalled an earlier conversation with my older daughter, Paige, who came home from school crying because she had, had an awful PE session and had missed the ball a few times.
My advice to her was to “Keep on trying ~ Never give up as it is only when we give up that we fail “
What profound advice – Perhaps I should take heed!
So, if you’re a business owner working on your own to grow your business ,you might feel at times that you are at your wits end, ready to tear your hair out and you feel like throwing it the towel.
DON’T
It would be awful to realise that you gave up 3 foot from gold. It’s during the toughest times that the tough need to get tougher. Keep your head down low and forge forward. You’re bound for a breakthrough soon.
I have seen it time and time again with my clients. [ ps : need a little encouragement?- connect with me for a virtual ( or face to face ) 1 on 1 ]
Needless to say – I did practice what I preached,
I did not give up and technology will not get me down – Your Voice newsletter is locked and loaded and successfully delivered to my awesome clients ON TIME.
Wishing you memorable experiences

Thanks Kat – It’s so easy to want to give up when the times get tough, but then i think how many people we can help with our business and this moves me forward. 🙂
