Shine on – Let your light burn bright.

I decided to share a thought with you today, a thought about facing your fears.

I called up a coaching friend earlier to find discuss something that he wanted to do online, during our conversation we decided to trade services. His coaching for a service of mine.

I personally think I got the bargain.

He reminded me of a poem recited by Nelson Mandela and one that you may have already have heard or read somewhere.
Brenda Tsiaousis - what are you so afraid of?

Nevertheless I have decided to add it here to my blog as a reminder to you if you unconsciously fear and doubt yourself and allow these unproductive thoughts to stop you from being all that you can be.

Here’s some free advise  – It’s time to let it go and embrace the YOU that you were created to be .

Release that inner gorgeousness and embrace all that you are. At times when I let doubt creep it I find it best to write down or affirm all the things I am good at as a simple reminder that I have the choice as to whether I let doubt and fear creep in an cripple me .. or not.

Back to the poem, as I mentioned I simply love this and have it written in my journal as well. – So Shine on, lovely – Shine On!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others

Why play small when we are meant to shine. Step up with me and let us enjoy the journey of discovery together.

Yours in light

    Wow Brenda,

I love that quote…and a great blog post!!

Yes, its true that we allow our fears to
get the best of us…and yet it is only when
we DECIDE to get out of the comfortableness of Fear
that we are able to take new steps..out of that uncomfortable
    yet comfortable feeling…

Its all about growing or stagnating….which will I choose Today…:)

    thanks

    Hey Brenda,

When a group of children are asked the question:” Which one of you can sing?”
Most of the kids are yelling: “Me, me, me, me!

When the same question is asked by a group of adults, the response is a little different. Almost nobody says yes to that.

Along the way we start “shrinking” and to most of us die with our songs still in us.

    Great share!

Fantastic analogy Akos.. Thanks for your comment. I guess it will be our mission this year to assist others to find the song within and to boldly raise our voices 🙂
