Five Steps to Greater Decisiveness In Your Home Business.
How many times have you made a decision and then wondered “Is the decision I have just made serving me? A good one? Right for this time?”
We’ve all had them – those nagging doubts about whether we’ve made the right decision. This happened to me on several occasions when I decided to enter the home based business arena to start up my network marketing business
Questions like:
Did I choose the right primary business?
Am I positioned correctly?
Did I spend too much on leads?
Should I have bought leads or should I be generating leads
often entered my mind, And still do.
I have found though that until we overcome them, it’s hard to move on.
During these time of indecision I use a simple yet effective 5 step formula that allows me to be happy with the decisions I make and suggest that by implementing these five steps in your decision making process , you will be too;
1. Carefully consider all the facts and opinions – Write down all the things that you consider beneficial, or not, that will assist you with making the decision. In other words make a list of all the pro’s and con’s. this will allow you to see the bigger picture and provide you with factual information to make a solid decision
2. Pay attention to your gut – “My gut feel is rarely wrong, when I am about to make a good or bad decision I feel in in my gut” By being aware of how you feel at your core will ensure that the decisions you make are in alignment with your core values. Getting in tune with that inner core is a technique that with time can be practised and honed.
3. Once you’ve made the decision, don’t second guess yourself – stick to your initial decision, this is normally the correct one. Second guessing yourself leads to confusion and doubt.
4. Act knowingly that you’ll probably make more good choices than bad ones. Look for proof, evidence that there were plenty of decisions that you have made previously that were good ones – this will reinforce your beliefs that you have great decision making skills
5. Anticipate success, but don’t be afraid to fail. Believe in the positive outcome of your decision, and should it be the wrong one, well, don’t beat yourself up about it. Rather see it as feedback and learn from your mistakes.
After implementing all of the above ask yourself;
“What will happen if i don’t act?”
The answer might be “And if I do?” You might surprise yourself.
