Many great people inspire me, Brian Tracey, John Maxwell, Richard Branson, Jim Rohn , Zig Ziglar and the list goes on and on .. let me not forget one of my all-time favorites, Anthony Robbins.
As a personal and professional development coach in the direct sales industry, I have a passion for betterment of self, always reading and looking for information to inspire, uplift and motivate others to move forward.
Today one of these inspiring people above have been the muse for the topic I am about to share with you.
In Brian Tracey’s latest newsletter he writes about A Special Kind of Courage.
“Courageous Patience “
Courage, because when you start out in any new venture, you need to be able to have the courage to endure, to persist, to “hang in there” in the face of doubt, uncertainty and criticism from others.
Patience because many new entrepreneurs expect instant results and when these are not forth coming they tend to lose hope and sometimes their nerve , courageous patience is very important to maintain at this stage as most people tend to want to give up as a lack of results as well as the suspense of not knowing and of possible failure. Instead of staying the course, they become fearful and quit.
How can we apply these two qualities to ensure that we stay the course and achieve success in its time.
By being a true leader, someone who stands firm, even in the face of adversity, and refuses to accept the possibility of failure. A leader encourages others, instills confidence in them and helps them perform at their best, however this said – a true leader 1st ensures that they lead by example.
The second thing you can do to help alleviate the fears of failure and rejection in others is to encourage them to take calculated risks and allow honest mistakes.
Acknowledge those who look up to you, praise them regularly. Celebrate the big and the small wins, Create an atmosphere where people feel good about themselves, where there is little criticism and people feel safe. Give another a hand up and show appreciation for the little things they do.
Practice empowering behaviors daily that assists you in your personal growth and development. Be who and what you want to achieve right now. Act courageously each and every day forging forward with an unstoppable attitude, fearlessly conquering each and every limiting belief until you achieve all you have set out to achieve and you yourself believe that you are unstoppable.
Implementing all of the above does not mean that you will never experience disappointment and setbacks. It will however prepare you for it and you will be less surprised and ready for it when these do occur.
Make up your mind that instead of giving up, quitting and running from your problems you will stand tall, bounce back quickly and advance confidently with courageous patience in the directions of your dreams.
May you find great rewards from your personal and professional development.
To your joyful abundance
